Growing and established Specialty Contractor in search of a GM to help lead and guide continued growth in the Southwest region.
Key duties will include: · Overseeing company operations including the collaboration between functional areas. Strategically manage various department leaders to ensure quality, timeliness, accountability, and execution. · Develop actionable business strategies, objectives, and plans that ensure alignment with short- and long-term objectives developed. · Manage/maintain/improve budget to actuals and margins by functional area as well as by job. Pro-active labor and material planning. Increase employee productivity. · Implement financial procedures and organizational policies and programs to drive the Company's operating capabilities to surpass the industry average. · Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies and collaborating with management.
Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
· 10 years' experience at a mid-sized company up to $50 million in revenue as a GM or in a Leadership position.
· Strong experience with production/operations in addition to leadership experience with a growing organization, overseeing and managing a fabrication and installation organization.
· Strong experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint); excellent leadership and supervisory skills; solid organization skills such as multitasking and effective time management; and good written and oral communication skills.
· Prior experience in a construction with a preference for specialty trade, in particular fire protection, is strongly desired.
