What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Manage the Phoenix terminal to ensure all areas are meeting or exceeding operational goals.
• Lead, develop and educate staff on both internal and external customer service and operational standards.
• Oversight of driver manager interactions to ensure maximum utilization and revenue production of the van fleet. Promote driver retention by providing support, counsel and assistance to drivers, driver managers and other departmental staff.
• Build customer freight relationships to help achieve growth and drive decisions to ensure the relationships are successful. Work with existing and potential customers to promote customer service and develop positive relationships.
• Maintains a culture of day-to-day diligent “hunting” mentality approach for new business lead generation
• Monitor and drive improvements for quarterly KPIs to align with annual division goals.
• Create and maintain weekend schedules.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
• 5+ years’ experience with dispatch or driver planning required.
• Detail oriented with demonstrated communication skills
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Demonstrated leadership, management, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office applications
