Stand Strong Fencing of Boise is growing and currently seeking a general manager looking to advance their career with a locally-owned, nationally-backed fencing solutions company by overseeing daily operations, driving business growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The Job
As a general manager, you’ll direct and manage the day to day business, as well as help develop and implement effective strategies and programs. You’ll identify new development opportunities, support revenue generating activities, and monitor key performance metrics.
You’ll oversee a team of professionals, interact with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, and ensure that company policies and standards are upheld. You’ll rely on your communication skills, construction knowledge, budgeting experience, and leadership qualities to help others do their best work.
You’ll learn and adopt the Stand Strong Fencing structured management process and complete specialized training to guide your success.
Compensation for this position is between $70k to $80k yearly, plus bonus and incentive components, based on performance and profitability.

How You’ll Succeed
- Professionally represent Stand Strong Fencing
- Network and get involved with the community
- Develop expertise in products and industry knowledge
- Understand the current marketplace, competitors, and industry trends
- Identify new business and marketing opportunities
- Oversee daily business operations, including material procurement, subcontractor sourcing, installation, production, and office administration
- Maintain and manage inventory levels
- Develop and implement growth strategies
- Manage budgets
- Drive revenue growth
- Improve profitability
- Analyze business results based on KPI reporting
- Complete vehicle inspections to comply with maintenance requirements
- Oversee the continued training of managers and staff
- Lead, mentor and bring a diverse group of people together to work effectively
- Present information in one-on-one, groups, to customers, and with employees
- Evaluate performance and productivity of direct reports
- Oversee the performance and productivity of indirect reports
- Maintain professionalism of all employees
- Respond immediately to employee issues and customer needs
- Interact with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner
- Address potential client queries in a timely and professional manner
- Manage data, records, HR documents
- Demonstrate the ability to solve problems and make decisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required:
- 5+ years in a service, construction, or installation related field
- Management or leadership role with direct reports
- Valid driver's license
- Strong knowledge of MS Office or G Suite, QuickBooks or accounting software, CRM software
- Degree in Business Management or equivalent
- Experienced at reading, interpreting and managing financial statements
Physical Requirements:
- Stand, walk, sit, twist, use both hands, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
- Work outside in elements and varying seasons
- Lift, move, and hold up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle for extended time periods
