General Manager

Serioplast is looking for a General Manager for its plants in the USA.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The General Manager is responsible for the efficient management of 3 US plants and operates autonomously per company strategy. The purpose of this position is to guarantee the profitability and sustainability of the business for the region.

Most of the time will be spent in St. Louis, Missouri, but frequent travel will be required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Defines and executes regional plans and business strategies in compliance with the company strategy and promotes the group vision within country teams
• Monitors the performance of the plants, taking necessary preventive and corrective actions to achieve business profitability and sustainability
• Leads the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for industrial operations of the region
• Leads and participates in projects for startups, expansions, development plans, industrialization of new product portfolios, industrial rationalization and optimization initiatives, etc.
• Supervises, coordinates, and supports the local management team, promoting staff training and development at all levels
• Manages client relations at the regional level and guarantees client satisfaction
• Supports quality at all levels to promote a continuous improvement mindset
• Represents the company to local authorities, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and regional stakeholders

Technical Skills:

• Excellent applied knowledge of WCM standards
• Excellent knowledge of business economics
• Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM)
• Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment rules and practices

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive in the manufacturing industry, preferably in an FMCG company
• Experience in successfully managing and restructuring operations with a strong understanding of the financial aspects of complex plants
