We are looking for a General Manager with a strong leadership demeanor with an ownership mentality to oversee all staff and operations of Detroit Wing Company Store. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive. This position is a 50-hour work week average.

Please note, starting salary does not include bonus profit-sharing program and that bonus/profit sharing structure will be explained during interview process.

ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day operations.

• Work with operations and corporate staff to design strategy and set goals.
• Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
• Assist with training employees and enforcing policies and processes.
• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
• Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
• Work with operations team to improve operations and financial performance.
• Direct the employee assessment process.
• Utilize tools to prepare labor & COGS reports for discussions with upper management.
• Ensure staff follow health, sanitation and safety regulations.
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors and raising revenue).
  
  

Skills/Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager.
• Experience in planning and budgeting including food cost and labor.
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, operations etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to maintain high level of standards and consistency.
• Excellent hospitality skills.
• Computer skills related to POS systems, kitchen screens, inventory control programs.
• Most of all, create and maintain a healthy and enjoyable working environment.
