What are your responsibilities?
The General Manager position will report to the President of HTS and be responsible for providing strategic operational and managerial leadership for the business unit, which is in alignment with the goals of AP4 Group. The General Manager has responsibility for the full P&L, day-to-day operations, and staff for the business unit, ensuring the continued growth and success of AP4 Group.This is a remote position with some travel.
Essential Duties
Implement and drive company strategy and lead day-to-day business operations
Emphasize the importance of safety and ensure consistent training for all employees
Direct and oversee budget and financial activities ensuring revenue, gross profit, margin, EBITDA, and cash targets are met
Oversee pipeline management to include quote & proposal reviews and job cost tracking
Develop and execute the strategic vision and operational plans
Set key performance metrics and establish an operating rhythm to hold accountable
Oversee the delivery of services. Ensure high quality and consistent services across the business by strengthening processes and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
Establish clear roles and responsibilities to ensure the business has a highly effective and functioning team
Provide periodic updates and key results to executives, key stakeholders, and the board of directors
Negotiate and approve agreements and contracts based on DLA approval levels
Identify areas to cut costs while improving programs, performance, and policies
Identify training needs and ensure field service technicians have the skills and qualifications for their roles
Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
Supervisory Duties
Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of management and other employees.
Provide leadership with consistent coaching and feedback.
Develop goals and provide training for employees
Conduct 1 on 1 meetings with direct reports according to company policy
Conduct annual performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
Handle disciplinary and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
What do you need to qualify for this role?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
10+ years of experience in field service management, preferably in the power generation industry
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
