Overview
We're on the lookout for a highly skilled General Counsel specializing in Institutional Product, Intellectual Property (IP), and Regulatory matters to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll lead legal initiatives related to our institutional product offerings, IP protection, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the integrity and legal compliance of our platform.
Responsibilities
Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal guidance for our institutional product, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations for both traditional and digital financial institutions.
Regulatory Compliance: Analyze global financial laws and regulations, offering ongoing guidance to align our product with industry standards and best practices.
Business Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to align legal strategies with overall objectives, effectively managing risks in diverse financial markets.
Project Management: Lead special projects related to the institutional product, adapting to evolving legal and regulatory landscapes.
Comprehensive Counsel: Offer tailored legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management specific to the institutional product.
Global Compliance: Develop and implement robust compliance strategies to ensure adherence to international regulations across different financial jurisdictions.
Intellectual Property Protection: Safeguard proprietary technologies and innovations related to our institutional product through strategic IP strategies.
Contractual Negotiations: Represent the organization's interests in negotiating agreements with financial institutions worldwide, ensuring alignment with business and legal objectives.
Requirements And Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active law license.
Minimum 8+ years of legal experience in fintech, trust, estate planning, LegalTech, or related fields, with a focus on serving financial service institutions.
Experience in startups, corporate law, trusts, estate planning, policy, intellectual property, AI, FinTech, and blockchain preferred.
Proficiency in handling a large number of issues and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
