Position Summary

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time psychiatrist. Applicants interested in working less than full-time but at least 75% time will also be considered. This faculty member will primarily work in the outpatient setting. Work will include face-to-face care in clinic as well as virtual care delivered from the clinic or from home. The primary population served will be a general adult psychiatric population. Additionally, work may include teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees from a variety of disciplines. There will be participation in the department call schedule. Service on appropriate department and medical school committees may also be a part of this role. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

MD or DO. Applicants must have an active medical license in the state of North Carolina or anticipate licensure prior to start date. Applicants must be a board certified or eligible psychiatrist or anticipate board eligibility prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience

Experience in working with an outpatient population with a variety of psychiatric conditions preferred.
