Key Responsibilities: This position will be 3rd shift starting at either 9pm or 11pm - 7:30 am, as either an 8 hour or 10 hour shift.
Preventative Maintenance
Tire Maintenance, mounting and dismounting tires, brake jobs, bearing and stud replacement.
Trailer maintenance including but not limited to brakes, abs, doors, and minor body repairs.
Tractor maintenance including but not limited to brakes, services, minor engine work, and diagnostics.
Brake service and repair.
Rear end service and repair.
Repair engines, run diagnostic tests, find the sources of problems, and then remove and replace faulty parts.
Check water-cooling systems or clean air and oil filters to prevent engine parts from breaking down.
Requirements:
Certified in brake repair.
Current CDL License a plus but not required.
Job requires a thorough knowledge of machines and tools for making repairs and regular maintenance on equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Reading comprehension of work-related documents.
Strong service perspective in relation to meeting customer expectations.
Effectively applies technical knowledge to solve a range of problems.
Excellent time management, situational management, attention to detail and immediate follow through.
Must provide own tools including impact wrenches up to 1/2’ drive.
Carrier and Thermo King Reefer experience is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds numerous times and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
