Game Rant is looking for a candidate with extensive familiarity and knowledge about multiple video game genres as well as the gaming industry as a whole. The ideal candidate should both play and follow the news surrounding existing and upcoming video games as well as be available on weekends and evenings.
Responsibilities:
Weekend and Evening availability (between 1PM to 7PM PT)
Expanding news coverage of specific games or subjects
Editing approximately 50 articles per week, and contributing articles with careful attention paid to the best SEO practices
Paying high attention to detail for spelling, grammar, image quality, fact-checking and sourcing
Working under tight deadlines and submitting tasks on time
Providing feedback to continually improve our writers’ abilities
Applicants must be highly motivated and possess the following requirements:
Relevant experience in writing and editing
Broad knowledge of gaming history and culture
A solid grasp of the English language and the ability to communicate niche ideas to a wide audience
