Wild Space Gallery is located within the Corridor Foundation’s headquarters at The Factory St. Pete, a bustling modern arts & culture campus located on the Pinellas Trail in the Warehouse Arts District of St. Petersburg, Florida. 

Summary of Role:

The Gallery Manager will work closely with our gallery curator, development department, and intern team to plan, coordinate, and execute exhibitions. 

The Gallery Manager aims to achieve the educational objectives for Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation gallery through the various exhibitions and associated programming. 

This position works in a team environment and collaborates with other organizations and thought leaders to advance the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation conservation mission through art and storytelling.

We are looking for someone who is both passionate and excited about bringing both the vision of the FWCF through its exhibits, and education about the mission of the FWCF to a broader audience.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the gallery curator to plan cohesive exhibits, activities, and events for the Wild Space Gallery.
  • Supervise up to two gallery-focused interns and support their progress toward goals in project-based semester experiences.
  • Work closely with the development team to plan, execute, and optimize donor opportunities tied to the gallery.
  • Collaborate with the programming team to tie core outreach programs and initiatives with gallery activation.
  • Work to achieve learning objectives for exhibits for the gallery.
  • Attend Factory artists/tenant meetings for shared programs or activation opportunities with happenings on the larger campus.
  • Plan & attend Second Saturday Art Walk events.
  • Maintain a gallery events calendar.
  • Manage art and merchandise sales transactions and oversee online retail store, including order fulfillment and inventory.
  • Manage gallery supplies and ordering.
  • Recruit and supervise volunteers for gallery staffing and events.
  • Staffing for gallery hours. 


Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of exhibit development or related work experience. 
  • Demonstrated event planning experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously without supervision, to prioritize effectively, and complete tasks given by deadlines.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and the instinct to approach projects strategically.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Experience Preferred:

  • Sales/customer service experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous gallery experience is highly preferred.
  • Art and conservation knowledge and interpretation highly preferred


Educational/Certification Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

Educational/Certification Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields preferred.


Computer Program/Resource Requirements:

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience with project management systems (Corridor Foundation currently uses Asana)

Computer Program/Resource Preferred:

  • Project management - Asana 


Physical/Driving Requirements:

  • Must have valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 25lbs.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel for work-related errands and to events, galleries or field locations around the state of Florida; no more than 10% total.

Language Requirements:

  • English proficiency for written and spoken.
