Furniture Designer

Overview:

We are seeking a talented Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and possess a diverse skill set in various design software and methodologies. Please attach Designer Portfolio with your resume/application.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize design software such as Creo, Maya, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, or Adobe to create innovative designs

- Conduct design research to inform project decisions and strategies

- Apply design thinking principles to develop creative solutions

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with project goals

- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to enhance design functionality

- Package designs effectively for production and distribution

- Create digital designs for a range of platforms and purposes

New Product Development:

Lead the end-to-end development process for new products, including needs assessment, concept design, structural process, cost management, prototyping, product manual creation, and market launch.

Oversee quality control for new products to ensure they meet company standards.

Develop new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing ones.

Design and Innovation:

Collaborate with international designers and incorporate advanced design techniques and technologies such as plastic molding, metal processing, glass processing, and 3D printing.

Innovate new materials, processes, and techniques to create cutting-edge furniture designs.

Project Management:

Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to market release, ensuring timely and successful product launches.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.

Supplier Management:

Identify and develop relationships with new suppliers.

Evaluate and integrate new technologies and processes from suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce costs.

Exhibition and Space Design:

Design and oversee the installation of exhibition spaces and booths.

Collaborate with high-end salon interior design projects.

Customer Collaboration:

Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into innovative furniture designs.

Provide on-site support during the assembly and installation of furniture projects.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in furniture design and development.

Proven track record of managing the full lifecycle of product development in the furniture industry.

Experience working with international designers and high-end interior design projects.

Skills:

- Proficiency in Creo, Maya, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe, or other relevant design software

- Strong understanding of design research methodologies

- Familiarity with package design principles

- Ability to apply design thinking concepts effectively

- Mechanical knowledge to optimize designs for functionality

- Experience in digital design across various platforms

· Proficient in using CAD 2D/3D systems for creating execution drawings.

· Strong understanding of various furniture manufacturing processes and matrials.

· Excellent project management and supplier relationship management skills.

· Ability to innovate and integrate new technologies into furniture design.

· Strong communication skills in both English and Italian for business negotiations and collaboration is preferred.

Education:

Bachelor above in Design.
