JOB OPPORTUNITY: Fundraising Lead & Superconnector


Role Overview:

Partner with executive leadership and development staff to enhance our impact and sustainability. Responsibilities include cultivating and managing new donor relationships, crafting grant proposals based on grant relationships you've built, and coordinating strategic funder communications. The key is you are ready to hustle, you love people, you have a network, you love asking for funds to support something you believe in…and you do all this strategically and with detailed care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Get out there and strategically create a robust pipeline of aligned high net worth donors, family offices and grant-making foundations.
  • Make the ask. No need to fear. For an aligned funder, a direct ask is a great opportunity not to be delayed.
  • Manage the sales cycle from cold to closing, with detailed and documented relationship management processes. 
  • Write key strategic communications eloquently on behalf of yourself and other organizational leaders, with attention to appropriate segmentation and email-flows.
  • Plan and execute funder engagement strategies and events.
  • Manage fundraising data and generate performance reports.


Required Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 4-5 years’ experience in fundraising or business development.
  • Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred. Asana, too!
  • Commitment to inclusive and equitable practices.

You possess strong attention to detail, writing skills, interpersonal care, and are committed to our mission, thriving in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments. You have helped a young organization in the past reach a level of scale and sustainable financial success. 


Location & Travel:

This remote role is based preferably in the Bay Area for occasional in-person meetings, with some travel required.
