Fund Controller opening at a global hedge fund that specializes in energy commodity markets. The fund was formed 8 years ago and has had great returns ever since and has grown to over 70 employees with offices around the globe.
When it comes to the role, the day-to-day fund accounting is outsourced so the primary function of this role will be overseeing the Fund Administrator, but you will interact regularly with front office traders, investment professionals, technology, and middle office.
This position will report into the Senior Fund Controller and CFO and compensation will be very competitive. They are in the office on a hybrid schedule.
Preferred qualifications:
4+ years of experience working in the financial services and/or Big 4 industry.
Experience with complex fund structures and/or with multi-manager hedge funds.
Knowledge of FTRs, energy derivatives, hedge fund/private equity structures.
Knowledge of ISOs and invoicing process.
Public/Private/Admin experience working with hybrid and closed-end funds.
Excellent analytical and communication skills required.
