Fund Accountant

We are partnering with an asset management firm located in midtown, Manhattan. The team is actively seeking a Fund Accountant to join their team. The ideal hire will have experience in private capital, a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance and will have 4-5 years of finance/accounting experience. This is an excellent contract opportunity to hit the ground running, showcase your skillset and work with a fantastic team!

• Support the Controller in oversight of the Private Capital Group
• Finance responsibility for Private Capital Group’s Funds and separately managed accounts
• Review monthly NAV packages for the Funds prepared by the fund administrator
• Review quarterly financial statements for the Funds prepared by the fund administrator
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit
• Fund investments and review investment legal documents
• Prepare and review distribution and contribution notices to investors
• Prepare and monitor Fund expenses and vendor payments
• Assist with regulatory reporting
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• CPA preferred, but not required
• 4-5 years of Finance/Accounting experience in the private equity industry (i.e. prior experience in other private equity firms, fund administrators, or public accounting firms working on private equity clients)
