Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team remotely in Ohio. As an integral part of our network, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized education and support to students with diverse learning needs. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique requirements of each student.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other educational professionals.
Utilize a variety of assessment tools and strategies to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Collaborate closely with general education teachers and specialists to ensure effective inclusion and accommodations within the mainstream classroom.
Employ diverse teaching techniques and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and achievements, maintaining accurate records and reports.
Engage parents and guardians through regular communication and involve them in their child's educational journey.
Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities as required.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Teaching/Special Education.
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Ohio.
Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in special education.
