Full Time Radiography Faculty - Remote | WFH

Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Radiography Faculty/Clinical Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality instruction and mentorship to students in the field of radiologic technology. Our faculty members are crucial in creating an engaging learning environment and fostering student success. You will deliver effective instruction that aligns with approved syllabi, guidelines, and program standards, collaborating closely with department team members. Additionally, you will model professionalism in dress, action, and communication.

You will empower students to achieve their academic goals and prepare them for a future in the medical workforce. You will also serve as the clinical coordinator, ensuring our mission is fulfilled through online classroom instruction, hands-on lab instruction, and externship oversight. You will work closely with the program director and other faculty members on curriculum development and program enhancement. This position can be full-time or part-time and offers competitive compensation.

Education / Qualifications / Competencies

Minimum of four years of practical work experience in radiologic technology.

Relevant degree at least at the same level as the course you will be teaching.

Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in radiography.

Current unrestricted certification in radiography for the state of Arizona.

Active CPR/BLS certification.

Comprehensive understanding of professional career paths and employer demands in the field.

Strong technical skills, including computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.

Experience with Canvas or similar LMS for instructional purposes is preferred.

Online, hybrid, remote, or blended teaching experience is highly desirable.

Overall Responsibilities

Review course syllabus and establish due dates with students on the first day of class.

Provide instructions and demonstrations on ergonomics, knobology, anatomy, and scanning techniques using current references and handbooks.

Assist students with questions about protocols, procedures, and policies, and provide constructive feedback.

Demonstrate respect and empathy towards students, accommodating their diverse personal differences and educational needs.

Maintain clean and organized labs with student assistance, preparing them for a professional environment.

Ensure the proper functioning of instructional equipment in labs, including ordering supplies and reporting any issues promptly.

Maintain records of students' completion of required lab hours before the end of each course.

Monitor student progress and report academic success issues and code of conduct violations using appropriate forms and procedures.

Provide feedback on protocols and teaching materials.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Campus Director, Director of Education, and Program Director.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods.

Capability to independently move objects up to 25 lbs.

Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, office machinery, and perform repetitive motions.

Sufficient hearing and speaking ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, or via computer.
