Maintain high professional standards in teaching within classroom and clinical settings.
Develop and submit course syllabi adhering to standards.
Foster student engagement through effective classroom management, technology integration, and timely grade submission.
Collaborate faculty on various initiatives, including meetings, projects, recruitment, and committees.
Design and implement effective teaching and evaluation strategies to prepare nursing students for successful careers.
Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and academic advising.
Stay current in nursing education and practice through ongoing professional development.
Contribute to program and institutional evaluation processes to enhance educational outcomes.
Requirements
BSN required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum two years of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
Prior education in adult education principles, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, preferred within the first three years of employment.
Valid unrestricted license to practice in Tennessee or an eNLC compact state.
Preference given to candidates with prior teaching experience in secondary instruction.
Work Schedule
Full-time position with 32 hours of on-campus work weekly.
Remote work one day per week, totaling a 40-hour workweek commitment.
Evening availability required, including supervision of adjunct clinical instructors during weekend clinicals.
Didactic teaching is a critical component of the LPN faculty role.
