Job Opportunity: We're seeking a compassionate Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team on a contract basis in Mississippi. As a crucial member, you'll have the rewarding task of providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
Responsibilities
Craft and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with visual impairments.
Offer direct instruction and guidance in essential areas like braille literacy, orientation and mobility, and utilization of assistive technology.
Foster collaboration with general education teachers, support personnel, and families to ensure effective implementation of accommodations and adjustments.
Conduct thorough assessments to gauge students' educational needs and track their progress.
Maintain meticulous records of student advancement and services rendered.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Possess a valid Mississippi Teacher of the Visually Impaired License.
Demonstrate prior experience working with students with visual impairments, with proficiency in braille instruction.
Exhibit knowledge of current best practices in visual impairment education.
Showcase Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills.
