Job Description: Wilmette family of 3 seeking an experienced Nanny for an infant. The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position with a loving family. Start end of July 2024.
Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours a week with overtime based on flexibility with parent’s work schedules. Hours will be between Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-6:00pm, Friday 8:00am-12:00pm
Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day care of the child including preparing bottles, changing diapers, monitoring naps, bathing, and taking the child on walks and to activities
Light housekeeping includes tidying and organizing the children’s areas, children’s laundry, washing bottles and children’s dishes, and keeping track of the child’s needs (diapers, wipes, etc.)
Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones (switching to solid foods, potty training, etc.). Should be able to provide developmentally appropriate activities (no screen time)
Both parents work from home two days a week in a separate space. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement
Qualifications:
Nanny should have extensive, verifiable nannying experience with infants and toddlers
Nanny is looking for a long-term commitment with a family.
Nanny should be warm and caring. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the child and the family
Nanny should be self-sufficient. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of children’s needs. Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and anticipate family's needs
Reliable and communicative. Will make sure to arrive on time each day
Driving is needed for the role in the future. Nanny should have a safe driving record.
Tdap and Flu vaccinations required.
