Job Description: Lincoln Park family seeking an experienced and high-energy Nanny for a 1-year-old. The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position with a loving family. Start Fall 2024.
Schedule: Guaranteed 45 hours, M-F, 9am-6pm (with some flexibility--family is flexible on total hours, between 40-45hrs, based on the needs of the candidate).
Responsibilities are for the day-to-day care of the child such as planning and preparing nutritious meals (would love if the Nanny enjoys cooking!), changing diapers, coordinating and monitoring naps, taking the child on walks and to activities, and providing developmentally appropriate activities.
Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones (ex: potty training, socio-emotional development; attachment). Should be able to provide developmentally appropriate activities.
Light housekeeping will be needed such as child’s laundry, child's dishes, tidying child’s bedroom and common areas, picking up toys, etc
Both parents work from home in separate spaces. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Nanny should be able to travel with the family a few times per year.
Qualifications:
Nanny should have extensive, verifiable nannying and infant/toddler care experience.
Nanny is looking for a long-term commitment with a family
Nanny should be warm and caring. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the child and the family. Will be able to work collaboratively with the parents.
Nanny should be self-sufficient. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of children’s needs (diapers, supplies, groceries, etc.).
Reliable and communicative. Will arrive on time each day.
Family lives in 3-story home. Candidates should be comfortable with this arrangement
