First Look - Freelance Writer, ComeCruiseWith.com:

The Arena Group is looking for an experienced cruiser/freelance writer for our growing newsletter and website Come Cruise With Me. The ideal candidate will write approximately 5-8 stories per week with potential for growth. Articles are generally 400-700 words and will cover everything from news to the writer’s own cruise experiences. Leading candidates will have sailed multiple cruise lines. Familiarity with the cruise industry, cruise loyalty programs, and cruising with family would be ideal, but not required.

Come Cruise With Me (ComeCruiseWith.com) speaks to both new-to-cruise readers and experienced cruisers. The weekly newsletter features cruise news, deals on cruises, and interactive features with community-sourced content, and “as told to” cruise experience stories coming soon.

The Arena Group’s expected hourly rate for this position is $30 - $40 USD per hour. We are looking for someone to write for approximately ten hours per week, with potential for growth/additional hours. What You’ll Do:

• Write assigned stories using SEO expertise to drive audience engagement
• Pitch new, out-of-the box, and creative stories and areas of coverage to expand our audience
• Brainstorm article and feature ideas with editors
• Bring your personality to Come Cruise With Me and become a personality to our audience.
• Additional projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

• Avid interest in cruises and travel writing
• Experience writing, especially for blogs and newsletters
• Creativity, full of ideas and really eager to be part of our cruise community
• Happy to help people have the best cruise experience from booking to disemberkation
• Eager to learn more, test ideas, and disrupt tradtional travel writing norms
• Ideal candidates would live near cruise ports in Florida, Texas, or New York/New Jersey
