At its core, this role is grounded in partnering with a team of professional storytellers and writers and helping them bring their visions to life on the Pocket FM App across a range of content formats.
We are seeking a talented freelance graphic designer to create engaging and high-quality thumbnails for our diverse range of audio content. This role involves collaborating closely with the Sr. Art Lead and writers to develop visually appealing designs that enhance user engagement and support the storytelling experience.
Responsibilities
Design Thumbnails: Create and deliver visually compelling thumbnails for various genres, with 3 versions per thumbnail.
Research and Reference: Study different genres and styles to create appropriate and effective reference guides.
Maintain Consistency: Ensure all visual elements are uniform across platforms to strengthen brand recognition.
Participate in Brainstorms: Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas for visual expression.
Implement Feedback: Present designs and incorporate constructive feedback from the team.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in entertainment or advertising.
Skills: Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and MidJourney or Firefly.
Design Principles: Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and graphics optimized for digital platforms.
Communication: Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating strong creative vision and design skills.
Strong Preference for candidates who:
Have understanding/experience designing assets for streaming OTT apps Wattpad, Royal Road, Radish, and similar web-fiction platforms.
Fans of Paranormal Romance, LitRPG, True Crime, Isekai, Soap Operas, and Shonen
Pay: $75-95 per thumbnail concept (depending on experience)
