Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented Freelance eCommerce Still Life Photographer to join our team in New York. As a Freelance eCommerce Still Life Photographer, you will collaborate with our creative team to capture high-quality visuals for various product shoots, including flat lays and pinups. Your keen eye for detail, creative vision, and technical expertise will play a crucial role in creating compelling visual presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to understand project objectives, concept ideas, and brand aesthetics
  • Plan and execute still life product shoots, ensuring the vision is brought to life effectively
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and concepts in still life and product photography
  • Select appropriate props, backgrounds, and lighting that complement the desired aesthetic
  • Use lighting, composition, and other technical skills to create visually stunning and impactful images of products
  • Edit and retouch photographs using industry-standard software while maintaining the integrity of the original concept
  • Manage and organize digital files and ensure they are accessible to the creative team as needed
  • Collaborate with the post-production team to ensure the final deliverables meet the project requirements
  • Work efficiently within deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Still Life Photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in product photography, flat lays, and pinups
  • Proficient in using professional photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories
  • Expertise in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Capture One
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory to create visually compelling images
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the creative team and other professionals on set
  • Knowledge of current trends in eCommerce and product photography, as well as a passion for creativity and innovation
  • Ability to adapt to different shooting environments, including studio and on-location shoots
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage digital files and deliverables effectively
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Availability to work on a freelance basis, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings, based on project requirements
