Your words will play a crucial role in helping homeowners achieve their remodel dreams.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced freelance copywriter to support our marketing team. You will work on a diverse range of marketing materials, including ad copy, emails, direct mail, SEO content, PR, website copy, sales materials, and more. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Product team on user-education focused copy. You must be able to grasp our voice and tone and work independently while closely collaborating with various teams across the company.

This is an hourly contract position. We anticipate the role requiring 8-15 hours per week, though this may vary over time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and write compelling content in collaboration with our marketing team, working closely with our Head of Brand & Content and our Brand Design Lead
  • Work directly with channel owners and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Create copy and content for ads, emails, SEO, sales, user-education, and more
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product and value prop messaging
  • Speak to our audience with insightful, personalized content that balances clarity and warmth
  • Manage your own workload and work independently, balancing multiple projects
  • Pay attention to data and use it to guide your strategy

THE TEAM

You would sit on the Marketing team and work closely with our Head of Brand, Content and Creative.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience, within an agency or in-house team
  • Strong writing skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to grasp and maintain our brand's voice and tone
  • Sharp editing skills and ability to incorporate feedback effectively
  • Proven ability to work quickly and independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously while hitting deadlines
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills—preferably with experience working within a project management system like Asana
  • Experience collaborating closely with brand designers to develop content together
  • Experience using data to inform and guide content strategy
  • A portfolio showcasing writing samples, including ad copy and other marketing materials
  • A passion for home renovations and interior design preferred
  • Must be able to work east coast hours, though you can be based anywhere

Expected compensation for this role is $35/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on the successful candidate's experience or other job-related factors.
