Fraud Chargeback Coordinator

What You Get To Do

The Fraud & Chargeback Coordinator will play a crucial role in preventing fraud and managing and resolving chargebacks by analyzing transactions, identifying discrepancies, and submitting appeals to the appropriate financial institutions. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a strong understanding of chargeback processes. This position will perform multiple functions to include but not limited to:

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Investigate and resolve irregular online transactions to prevent potential fraud
  • Track and document findings to be used for risk assessment and metrics
  • Obtains knowledge of both credit and debit card fraud and dispute processing.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of all chargeback cases in the company’s database, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution status tracking.
  • Analyze transaction histories and patterns to detect potential fraudulent activities or policy violations related to chargebacks.
  • Review and analyze incoming chargebacks to determine their validity and accuracy.
  • Investigate and gather relevant information to support the resolution of chargebacks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary documentation and evidence for appeals.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive appeals to banks and financial institutions in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and track the status of chargebacks, ensuring timely resolution and communication with relevant stakeholders.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Proven experience in chargeback analysis and resolution.
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems and chargeback regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance standards related to chargebacks.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the chargeback process.
  • Decision making/problem solving skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • At least one year of chargeback experience preferred.
