Foster Care Recruiter/Trainer

What will I be doing?

  • Conducting pre-service orientation and training; as well as, in service training
  • Maintaining appropriate records in compliance with funding source requirements
  • Assisting the Program Directors and Program Coordinator in “client match” meetings
  • Compiling and submitting application packet when all components are received and advising management on whether or not to proceed to the next step of the certification process
  • Developing and maintaining professional alliances and relationships that will serve to help recruiting efforts
  • Maintain current licensed home, which include re-licensure packets and quarterly visits
  • Support the foster parents
  • Conduct and/or participate in any staffings

Am I a good fit?

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess general computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related fieldsand three years of related experience
  • Foster Parent recruitment and/or Licensing - 1 year
  • Child Welfare Licensing Certification (CWLC) or a Child Welfare Case Manager Certification (CWCM)
  • Access to reliable transportation adhering to all FL Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles laws (current vehicle registration, vehicle insurance, and driver's license)
