Regional Sales Representative - Building Materials Industry
We're seeking a dynamic and motivated sales professional to join our team as a Regional Sales Representative. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction across a multi-state territory.
Territory: Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois
Ideal Location: Within or near the territory
About The Role
As our Regional Sales Representative, you'll play a crucial role in supporting regional revenue targets, achieving gross margin goals, and expanding our customer base. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our sales initiatives in your assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
Product Expertise
Develop comprehensive knowledge of our product lines and systems
Understand and communicate product features, benefits, and assembly options
Articulate our value proposition compared to competitors
Customer Relationship Management
Work closely with District Managers to understand and support their business needs
Identify growth opportunities within the assigned customer base
Travel to meet customers and gain insights into market dynamics
Internal Collaboration
Coordinate effectively with internal departments to optimize customer experience
Provide timely communication and accurate details to support teams
Contribute to weekly forecasts and market demand predictions
Technical Skills
Utilize CRM systems, pricing tools, and estimating software
Create 3D project visualizations using Google SketchUp
Understand and work with AutoCAD
Strategic Planning
Assist in executing annual market plans to achieve regional goals
Analyze market conditions and competition to develop strategic responses
Contribute to ad-hoc reporting as needed
Qualifications
College degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
Experience in pre-engineered building sales is a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven track record in sales or sales management
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data
Understanding of drafting, estimating, and inside sales processes
Architectural, engineering, or sales background is beneficial
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
Excellent project coordination and multitasking skills
