Operates full service espresso bar. Prepares a wide range of drinks including but not limited lo; lattes, espresso, Americano, and
cappuccinos by selecting the proper grind of coffee shot and following set recipes for each individual variation of drink.
Must be able to follow basic cappuccino requirement of each type of drink including but not limited to; preheating the portafilter,
knowing the difference in grinds of coffee, knowing how long should a shot take to brew into a cup, preheating the cup, how to "pull''
and "tamp" into the portafilter, difference in frothing and steaming milk, and able to know difference and relay information to
customers on the difference in drink choices.
Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties. Sets up cappuccino bar for operation and obtains cash bank. Prepares
documentation for cash funds accountability.
Maintains work to ensure that it is neat and clean. Washes cappuccino bar equipment and utensils. Stocks service bars and assists
supervisor on duty if necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience
Must be able to follow simple written and oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines. Must
be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in
handling and serving food, cleaning equipment and work area. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up
to 40 pounds. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty (evenings, weekends, and holidays). Must be able to read, speak,
and understand the English language well. Must be able to follow simple recipe cards. Must be able demonstrate excellent customer
service skills. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a preemployment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background
check (T1).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
