Our brand is on fire now but it hasn’t been long since late 2019, when we began a turnaround and rebrand of our Tandoor Chef® frozen brand and Indikitch® restaurants to Deep Indian Kitchen®. Our differentiated approach and products have made us the #1 fastest growing natural frozen entrees brand in America, with rapid household penetration growth, over 186K followers on Instagram and TikTok…we could go on. And we know it’s cliché to say “we’re just getting started,” but we don’t know of any other aspiring ‘platform brand’ that gets to pick and choose from an 800 SKU innovation pipeline.


What You Will Do:

We are seeking a Foodservice Sales Manager to help grow our current Foodservice business through expansion of existing accounts, creating strategy, developing improved portfolio assortment, and selling into new opportunities. Responsibilities will include expanding distribution in existing accounts, identifying, and closing opportunities with new offerings and accounts, and ensuring flawless execution.


Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the Foodservice business
  • Partner with our current accounts to drive growth with customized distribution and promotion plans based on their needs
  • Identify and sell new National/Key Foodservice accounts
  • Identify gaps in current product offerings and partner to create items that fill those needs
  • Day-to-day coordination and presentations with buyers, distributors, and brokers to ensure all plans are communicated on time and executed in full and relationships are maintained
  • Following up, following up, and following up until meetings are booked or deals are closed
  • Adaptation of centralized trade materials and data to fit assigned accounts
  • Creation, execution, and tracking of promotional and slotting/free-fill plans within targets
  • Forecasts by account and item and partnership with finance & operations to ensure high customer service
  • Analysis of brand, product, price, merchandising, promotion and service performance for assigned accounts and recommendations for improved growth
  • Competitive and marketplace monitoring and intelligence
  • Order and authorizations execution
  • Deduction/chargeback management in partnership with finance
  • Actively contribute to developing overall Deep Indian Kitchen team culture


Who You Are:

We need the right partner who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is excited by the chance to build strong relationships internally and externally with customers, analyze sales data, build strong sales stories, create strategic plans, and execute with agility to drive sales growth and ROI. Our ideal candidate will have significant energy, tenacity, passion for food, and classical training and/or growth brand experience.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS
  • 4-6 years sales experience in CPG, with foodservice sales experience with proven history of success
  • Aptitude using Microsoft Office suite, SPINs and IRI.
  • Strong forecasting, budgeting and analytical ability
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to self-motivate, prioritize and organize
  • Location flexible
  • Willingness to work remotely and travel up to 50%
  • Experience with colleges and universities is a plus!
