Food and Beverage Supervisor

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at The Marsh House, located within the prestigious Kiawah Island Club. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of hospitality operations. As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, manage a team of dedicated staff, and ensure the highest standards of service are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily operations of The Marsh House, including dining room service, bar operations, and special events.
• Lead and motivate a team of servers, bartenders, and support staff to deliver outstanding service and exceed guest expectations.
• Train new employees on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer interaction protocols.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock while minimizing waste.
• Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment throughout the dining area and kitchen.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and front-of-house operations.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to maximize efficiency and consistency in service delivery.
• Assist in scheduling and managing staff to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, foster teamwork, and address any operational issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Certification in food safety and/or previous experience in maintaining health and safety standards is preferred.
• Knowledge of Northstar POS software is a plus.

Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
