Our Legacy:


Lebanon Country Club is another gem designed by Scottish Architect, Alexander Findlay in 1920. Over the past 103 years, Lebanon CC has formed a rich history throughout the state, including hosting the W.B. Sullivan Invitational. This prestigious amateur tournament, drawing players from across the northeast, has been hosted at Lebanon CC for the past 78 years. Lebanon CC now enters its next exciting season, as the club transitioned to a single owner, dedicated to reinvigorating the club to become a premier golf and family club in Central PA. With a goal of extending Lebanon CC’s storied history and an unwavering pursuit towards excellence, investments will be made in staff support, service offerings and capital improvements to all aspects of the club. Areas and experiences to be improved include dining & event spaces, golf course, swimming pool and tennis facilities.

Lebanon Country Club – Food & Beverage Director 

 

The position of Food and Beverage Director is responsible for the financial and operational performance of the Club’s dining outlets and seasonal outdoor concessions. The F&B Director provides leadership to the food and beverage department team members. This position hires, trains, and supervises all F&B staff, and assures that the wants and needs of Club members are consistently exceeded. This position plans, organizes, and directs resources for the efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverage. 

 

The candidate should have broad operations experience in food and beverage service and banquet management in a private club setting or hospitality industry setting. Experience budgeting, along with the ability to analyze data and establish appropriate action plans will be of great benefit. Candidates should have strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and lead training programs and provide constructive feedback for service employees. 

 

Reports to: General Manager 

 

Job Duties: 

 

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for food and beverage service staff, including a la carte, banquet, and bartending staff. 
  • Ensures that all standards for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently applied. 
  • Manages both short and long-range staffing needs of the department. 
  • Ensures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented. 
  • Plans and approves all service staffing in coordination with the input of the Executive Chef, FOH Lead, and Catering Coordinator. 
  • Key in the planning and execution of both private events and club functions. 
  • Responsible for BEO generation and dissemination. 
  • Establishes quality and quantity output standards for all service staff. 
  • Monitors employee dress codes according to LebCC policies and procedures. 
  • Ensures that all legal requirements are adhered to, including wages, and federal, state, and local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages. 
  • Maintains contact with members and helps to maximize member satisfaction. 
  • Receives and resolves complaints from club members, guests and employees. 
  • Assists in the planning of facility improvements, remodeling, construction and repair, and interacts with applicable club committees for this purpose. 
  • Participates in ongoing facility inspections throughout the club to ensures that cleanliness, maintenance, safety and other standards are consistently attained. 

 

Other Responsibilities: 


  • Attends weekly meetings as directed by the GM. 
  • Attends monthly committee meetings as needed.  
  • Acts as a positive role model for all staff. Exceeds the same standards of service and behavior that team members are required to uphold.  
  • Always maintains a positive a friendly demeanor - Generates ideas and programs to increase staff morale. 

 

Professional Experience and Training 

 

  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification and Responsible Service of Alcohol certifications preferred, but not required. 
  • Experience as a manager preferred. 
  • Experience developing and executing training programs. 
  • Ability to train others and complete performance evaluations. 
  • Must have the ability to successfully complete on the job training, which includes CPR, First Aid, and AED training. 
  • Essential skills of this position include interacting with members and their families, committees, vendors, contractors, employees and multiple departments within the Club to actively promote a positive team atmosphere. 
  • Creativity with regard to recreation and special event planning - high energy and strong interpersonal skills.
