Floor Technician (07-01-2024)

Schedule

Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 4pm to 1 am, with overtime and weekends as required.

Position Description

Routine duties include:

• Carpet cleaning/extracting in offices, classrooms, and academic hallways.
• Using machinery for hard floor surfaces scrubbing/stripping various hallways, workrooms, and laboratory classrooms, etc.
• Ceramic tile cleaning of restrooms, hallways, and kitchen areas.
  
  

Occasional Duties Include

• Minor maintenance and repairs of custodial equipment.
• Performing routine custodial tasks including, but not limited to mopping, vacuuming, trash collecting, window cleaning. Washroom/shower sanitizing.
• Proper usage of LeTourneau University supplied chemicals.
• Proper usage of safety equipment supplied by LeTourneau University.
• Implementing instructions from the Assistant Director of Custodial Services.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Physical motions include but are not limited to the following: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, scrubbing, bending, squatting, going up and down stairs, continuous standing and walking, and any combination of the preceding.

Qualifications

• Floor Tech qualifications required, and experience of 5 years preferred.
• High school education or equivalent fund of knowledge.
• Must be age 18 or older.
• Good working knowledge of the English language.
• Able to work independently.
