Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Manager who will also fulfill the role of a driver and oversee vehicle maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring their efficient operation, coordinating maintenance schedules, and driving as needed to support operational requirements.

What you'll do:

• Manage a fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and repaired as necessary.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle safety.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and overall fleet performance.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Drive vehicles as needed to transport goods, equipment, or personnel.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers or cargo during transportation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repairs.
• Keep vehicles clean and in good condition both internally and externally.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, mileage, and maintenance history.
• Prepare reports on fleet utilization, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor and manage fuel usage and costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to vehicle operation and maintenance.
  
  

What you'll have:

• Proven experience as a Fleet Manager, preferably with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of driving and vehicle maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in automotive technology is a plus.
• A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required depending on the type of vehicle operated.
• This position involves both office-based administrative tasks and field-based driving and maintenance duties.
• Flexible hours may be required to accommodate operational needs and emergencies.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and physical exertion during vehicle maintenance activities.

$35 - $50 an hour

Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future.
