The Big Opportunity


After much international success, Baudoin & Lange is opening its first luxury American Flagship store on the Upper East Side to serve our fast-growing NYC client base! We are offering a unique opportunity to come in at day 1 of our new store.


Being busier than ever, we’re looking for a Flagship Store Manager to ‘own’ our NYC store from the very start, accountable for the overall operational and sales performance of the store.

The Store Manager is the owner of the business, a brand ambassador and a business leader, accountable and fully responsible for overall store performance and its execution.



As Flagship Store Manager you will oversee everything, from the opening and running of the store, to the management and hiring of store staff, merchandising, client management, shopfloor, back-of-house, and all supporting activities that will contribute the performance of the store.


In this role you will directly be reporting to the CEO, and liaise closely with our Merchandising, and Marketing departments in the London HQ. This is a critical role for the business at this time in our journey and will enable you to put your mark on the global expansion and brand recognition of the Baudoin & Lange brand.


Main activities include but are not limited to:

 

Business Development and Performance Management:

·      Full responsibility for maximizing sales goals, P&L, operational performance and stock management for overall business unit.

·      Analyse the business, propose and implement action plans to improve results working closely with corporate HQ

·      Develop a sales strategy, working cross-functionally with corporate partners.

·      Market expert, identifying new opportunities to attract and retain clients.

·      Make recommendations for store renovations, upgrades and expansion in order to increase sales and market share.

·      Establish and execute a strategic plan to achieve planned sales and key performance indicators for all time periods.

Sales Management:

·      Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the sales floor and managing client relationships personally

·      Develop loyal clients, implement appropriate CRM tools and maintain client database.

·      Act as brand ambassador to strengthen/build relationships with VIP clientele/prospect customers.

·      Be constantly present on the sales floor, continuously motivate sales staff to meet assigned sales through an authentic client experience and communicate goal expectations.

Administrative & Operations Management:

·      Oversee and ensure efficiency of all daily operational procedures

·      Manage an efficient back of house, ensuring exceptional operational support to drive sales and service

·      Complete all necessary administrative paperwork in a timely manner including creating staff work schedules and ensure appropriate store coverage.

·      Control daily invoices petty cash and take necessary actions to effectively control costs and ensure efficient operation in store.

·      Review and submit sales and operational reports to management in adherence to company’s KPIs and policies

Visual Merchandising:

·      Maintain merchandising standards

·      Work with local freelancers to achieve goals of proper window installation, store maintenance and display.

·      Lead all visual directives ensuring mapping and floorset are properly planned, scheduled and executed seamlessly within allotted timeframe.

Team Management:

·      Attract and recruit the best talent available in the market to ensure a winning team and create a best in class service & selling organization.

·      Create a supportive and positive work culture to develop and motivate staff through goal setting, performance monitoring, monthly touch base meetings and storewide meetings in order to coach and deliver timely feedback.

·      Full responsibility for training of staff, communication and adherence to policy

·      Establish and communicate clear expectations while holding the store team accountable for achieving all brand and performance goals

About You 

·      Previous experience in luxury store management roles (5+ years in a managerial role)

·      Excellent leadership and people management skills

·      Experience in recruiting, training, and assessing talent

·      Proven ability to increase sales and profitability

·      Experience driving and maintaining customer service standards

·      Demonstrate sound commercial and brand awareness

·      Advanced knowledge of POS, store systems and comfortable using digital tools

·      Proven track record in sales generation, clienteling, managing the achievement of sales results.

·      Flexibility to work in various roles based on business needs (i.e., on the sales floor, operations, etc.).

·      Meticulous attention to detail & organizational skills

·      You are incredibly resourceful, and no challenge is too difficult

·      Result-orientated

·      A ‘can-do’ attitude, flexibility, creativity and not afraid to get hands on

·      Fantastic verbal and written communication skills (and fluency in English)

·      Self-motivated hard worker with a proactive attitude (something that everyone at Baudoin & Lange shares!) 

·      Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced high-performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
