Fixed Income Trading Assistant with Leading Hedge Fund

We are seeking a Trade Support Specialist on behalf of our client a top tier hedge fund the in Miami, FL area. This opportunity is on-site offering a competitive base salary + bonus.

This position will offer exposure to various markets and the opportunity to work between several teams globally in the firm as well as directly with portfolio managers and our Prime Brokers. The successful candidate will have the initiative to seek out opportunities to work on strategic projects and be able to manage them through completion, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency. They will also be on a small team with broad product exposure to various bond products, including domestic and other non-dollar and emerging markets.

Principal Responsibilities:

· Ensure proper trade capture upon execution of key products including US Treasuries, Corporate bonds, Mortgage securities, Commodities, Futures, Equities and Foreign Exchange

· Reconciliation of trading affirmation/confirmation platforms

· Research/Resolve settlements breaks for both bilateral and cleared derivatives

· Monitor Trade Queues

· Ensure compliance of regulatory rules

· New Product Onboarding

· System Implementation

Qualifications/Skills Required:

· Strong product and working knowledge of US Treasuries including Treasury Auctions, Corporate Bonds, Syndicate, Convertible Bonds, Muni, Mortgages and Agency Securities

· Undergraduate degree in a business related discipline (finance, economics, accounting, etc.)

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with PM’s and brokers

· Five plus years of experience at a financial services firm

· Ability to work independently

· Proficiency with Excel

· Well- organized, detail- oriented; able to multi-task and keep track of various deadlines
