Fixed Income Broker

The Fixed Income Trader must possess knowledge of the fixed income markets and be responsible for evaluating investment and trading opportunities by creating markets in the municipal and corporate sectors by bidding & buying bonds for retail accounts and/or re-offering to the street.

The trader will be responsible for managing inventory while maximizing profitability via our clients proprietary software amongst other online tools. Candidate must possess the ability to effectively communicate to the street via contra dealers and other client traders while also disseminating market and portfolio data to various counterparties.

Position Requirements

• 1-3 years of fixed income sales experience working on a Fixed Income trading desk
• Academic backgrounds should include a solid concentration in math, economics and/or finance, and computer and/or other sciences, as well as a continued interest in current events, finance, banking, marketing, technology and trading
• Candidates must possess a strong, ongoing interest in the financial markets with emphasis on a dealer’s front-office Sales and Trading environment.
• Other skills such as communication, teamwork, organization are a must
• Series 7 is required
• Experience in various trading platforms such as TMC, Knight BondPoint, and Tradeweb would be preferred.
• Managing inventory and capital while staying compliant is a must
