Fitness Instructor - Independent Contractor

Are you a dedicated and passionate fitness professional looking to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of older adults? We are seeking an experienced and certified Fitness Instructor to join our retirement community as an independent contractor. As a fitness instructor, you will have the opportunity to lead engaging and effective exercise programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of our senior residents and staff. If you have experience teaching indoor cycling, yoga, interval, strength, and mindfulness classes, we would like to speak with you.

This position is a part-time, contractor assignment on an as-needed basis.

Service Description: The Contractor agrees to perform group movement services/sessions, for RiverMead employees and independent living residents aged 62 or older. Group sessions may include, but are not limited to cardiorespiratory, balance, mobility, cognitive/emotional, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and/or mindfulness practice and training according to health and fitness industry professional standards.

Independent Contractor Status. The Contractor, under the code of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), is an independent contractor, and neither the Contractor’s employees nor contract personnel are or shall be deemed, the Client’s employees.

Professional Credentials. The Contractor agrees to provide proof of required CPR certification and professional certifications as appropriate.

Liability Insurance. The Contractor agrees to bear all responsibility for the actions related to themselves and their employees or personnel under this Agreement. In addition, the Contractor agrees to obtain comprehensive liability insurance coverage.
