Fitness Instructor

Job Title: Group Fitness Instructor (Spin or HIIT focus)

Location: Spearman Clubs

Reports To: Fitness Director, Stacey Tan

Job Summary: Join our team at Spearman Clubs as a dedicated Group Fitness Instructor specializing in Spin or HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) classes. We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual who is committed to delivering exceptional fitness experiences and fostering a sense of community among our members. This role requires expertise in Spin or HIIT training, along with certifications in personal training, CPR, and liability insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging Spin or HIIT classes.
• Help build out an established format and protocol for fitness programs to ensure our gyms and classes excel.
• Create dynamic and effective workout routines that cater to participants of varying fitness levels and goals.
• Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and modifications to ensure participant safety and enjoyment.
• Motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals through effective coaching and encouragement.
• Collaborate with the Fitness Director to develop and implement innovative fitness programs that meet the needs of our community.
• Promote a positive and supportive environment that encourages member participation and retention.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the group fitness studio and equipment.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations, club policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Certification in group fitness instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA).
• Specialized certification in Spin (e.g., Spinning®, Schwinn®) or HIIT training preferred.
• Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification required.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Liability insurance coverage (must provide proof).
• Previous experience teaching Spin or HIIT classes preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with members.
• Passion for fitness and commitment to continuous learning and growth in the industry.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20-35 hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to certification requirements, experience level, and employment options - W2 or 1099 enrollment). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, disability, and workers comp.
