Role

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to report to the Assistant Controller and/or a Financial Reporting Manager. A qualified candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, be customer focused, detail oriented and able to work quickly and accurately in a deadline driven environment. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP and statutory financial reports for various entities
  • Assisting in the compilation of various regulatory reporting requirements
  • Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Assisting in the day-to-day operations and control environment surrounding financial information
  • Research accounting issues to derive proper accounting and reporting solutions
  • Providing external audit assistance
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Progress towards an MBA, CPA or CFA preferred
  • Public Accounting experience, a plus
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Unparalleled customer service orientation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a growing business
  • Ability to take on new tasks as needed
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
