Financial Reporting Analyst

Our Client, a Scaling Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Company, has dedicated the past decade to designing and developing electrified trucks and platforms for commercial applications. Now, as they prepare for the launch, production, and large-scale manufacturing of their vehicles, they are seeking a talented Financial Reporting Analyst to perform financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting activities as part of their their accounting and finance team.

As the Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be instrumental in analyzing financial data, monitoring performance, and developing forecasts to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making. As an integral part of the finance team, you will report directly to the Finance Director, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for the company's financial planning and analysis efforts. If you have experience working in Accounting and Finance with specific experience in FP&A, financial planning, financial reporting, financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting including management information and business intelligence we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and monitor performance, including sales, expenses, profit, working capital, cash flow, and other KPIs, through financial modeling and reporting.
• Create monthly financial reports, including cash and expense forecasts, in coordination with the Finance Director.
• Prepare timely monthly financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of budget and planning software.
• Assist in establishing procedures, policies, and best practices for accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Contribute to the overall Annual Budget process with the executive team and directors.
• Generate reports on vendor analysis, expenses, cash flow, GAAP compliance, and internal and strategic models.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain, Program, and Engineering teams to analyze material costs and drive profitability.
• Analyze labor and overhead costs in collaboration with the Operations and Advanced Manufacturing teams to support make vs. buy decisions.
• Provide support to the Finance leadership in investment efforts and raising capital.
• Assist the Finance and Accounting team with ad hoc reporting and tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Finance or Accounting
• Preferably with 2-6 years of experience working in the automotive or manufacturing-related business.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and pay attention to detail in small to mid-sized organizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with ERP/MRP Systems such as Plex, Consolidation Systems, and budgeting software; familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning preferred.

Location:       Metro-Detroi, Michigan (Onsite)

Term:             Full-time, Permanent

Rate:              $70,000 - $90,000 – Negotiable on Experience
