Role: FP&A Manager (Financial Planning and Analysis Manager) – Mix of Operations, Commercialization, Corporate FP&A, Strategic Finance


You will be working with many key cross-functional partners (i.e. sales, operations, product and engineering) on a wide variety of special ad hoc financial projects to lead the top line and bottom line growth. We need someone who is business savvy with a strategic mindset that thrives in a fast-paced environment that will be a critical business partner. Ideally looking for a blend of not only corporate FP&A but strategic finance, commercial finance and operational finance. This is a highly visible position, so communication skills are extremely important. This is a very intellectually stimulating role. No two days will be the same. We need a thinker. There is no play book or manual for some of the projects you’ll get to tackle and analyze so it will be like writing the manual while flying the plane.

Location: Greater Columbus, OH Area metro. Relocation assistance is available.


Role Snapshot:


· Month end close, consolidations, financial reporting & variance analysis with related commentary for executive leadership

· New product development and ROI financial modeling

· Conduct capital project analysis, CAPEX, Opex and costing analytics

· Build out KPIs to track plant performance and help improve overall profitability and operational efficiency of each location globally

· Budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, SG&A, margin analysis, P&L management and cost mitigation

· Track financial and operational KPIs and related analytics such as: sales (pricing/volume), profitability (revenue/gross margin/expense) at the product, market and department level

· Drive revenue enhancement and cost reduction projects

· Analyze monthly P&L’s and provide variance explanations and strategies to stay on budget

· Develop the corporate annual operating plan

· Cash flow and balance sheet forecasting

· Create dashboard reporting for internal management to run their operations more effectively

· Works closely with Director of FP&A, CFO, COO, Controller, President, VPs in Finance, Accounting, Sales and Operations

· Cross-functional Team Support - You will be providing key support across the business. Helping leaders understand market trends within their business. Helping them make better decisions that drive key decisions

· Work on lots of ad hoc projects - this role will not be the same everyday

· Company believes in a continuous improvement mindset for ‘process improvement’ and is seeking those who think outside of the box and encourage one to bring ideas forward


What we’re looking for?


· Someone who is business savvy with a high degree of intellectual curiosity

· Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

· MBA/CFA/CPA/CMA/FMVA qualifications preferred

· 5-10+ years experience, mostly FP&A, (additional experience in Accounting, Consulting, Advisory or Auditing is a plus as well)

· Experience communicating financial and operational performance with leadership

· Experience in publicly traded and/or large privately held organizations or public accounting / consulting / advisory

· Knowledgeable in pricing, growth strategies, commercialization, sales, product development and operations

· Exposure to accounting and finance software (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion Planning/Essbase, HFM, Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, SQL, etc.) is a big plus

· Some level of cost accounting as it applies to margin analysis would be helpful

· Ability to work largely independently and in a team setting, while balancing multiple projects at any given time

· Someone that is eager to learn and grow their career that is a self-starter

· Someone that has industry experience working with a tangible product preferred
