The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a crucial role in compiling and collaborating with various departments aspects of property budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting. You will be instrumental in achieving the company's overall success and growth, playing a pivotal role in fostering informed decision-making throughout the organization. By partnering with various departments and stakeholders enterprise wide, the Manager of FP&A will also play a critical role in optimizing financial processes, systems, and creating data analytics and reporting that will drive strategic financial decisions.
What You Will Do
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the annual property-level budgeting and periodic reforecast process. Own and/or assist various revenue and expense workstreams, working closely with asset management, property operations, revenue management, capital, and other departments to ensure the highest quality budgets.
Review proposed property-level budgets by conducting detailed trend analysis of historical performance, portfolio and external benchmarks, contracts, and new strategic initiatives to identify outliers and improvement opportunities.
Be an expert in the budgeting and forecasting system and the process.
Reporting & Analysis
Perform analysis, and ad hoc projects on a frequent basis, collaborating closely with all departments across the organization.
Assess monthly performance and identify key trends across individual properties and portfolios.
Contribute to ongoing improvement of the reporting process through use of automation, databasing, and business intelligence tools.
Create and maintain various financial models providing a clear understanding of investment performance.
Develop presentations and detailed financial analysis results.
Finance Technology
Provide ongoing management and support of budgeting & forecast system.
Develop dashboards and reports to provide key financial insights to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes.
Other
Occasional travel may be necessary as needed

Ideally, you'll have
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
5-7 years within FP&A role, preferably within the real estate industry
Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial software and systems, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, financial planning tools, and Excel
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Detail-oriented, analytical, and strategic thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to partner at all levels of the organization
