Senior Talent Acquisition Manager for Restaurant Associates at Google

The Controller/Sr. Finance Manager will lead the RA @ Google West Coast accounting and financial reporting. He/she/they will also partner with Google Food Service Managers in the Americas as well as other Compass Sectors in the Americas (Restaurant Associates @Google East Coast, Canteen @Google US, and Global Compass @ Google team) to oversee financial practices and to support financial operational excellence. This position reports into the Director of Finance, Americas and will leverage their strong financial and accounting skills to partner with key stakeholders (culinary, hospitality, concept development, procurement, risk management, operations and HR), to promote financial best practices in line with Compass standards and Google Food expectations.


This role is based in Seattle, WA or Playa Vista, CA.


The great things you’ll do:

  • Develop the relationships with local operating sector accounting teams to create a strong financial Compass @Google Americas regional team that can meet our partners financial goals while managing the food program.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Maintains and reinforces all accounting policies and standards consistently
  • across the account
  • Review P&L’s weekly prior to post-final close, accounts receivable on a weekly basis
  • Prepare reporting for the client forecast versus actual monthly reconciliation.
  • Prepare reporting for the client Committed Spend monthly meeting based on month to date data.
  • Prepare monthly forecast/committed spend/actual expense for client input into their accounting systems.
  • Review weekly accruals and allocations and provide back up to the regional accountant
  • Communicate issues/concerns to operations management in resolving individual issues
  • Oversee preparation of Weekly and Monthly financial summary reports to unit management and leadership groups
  • Attend weekly leadership team meetings
  • Support the tracking and analysis of Operational Excellence Metrics
  • Maintain on a weekly basis the client consolidated budget roll up
  • Annual and on-going budget support (training, questions) for managers and chefs and review budgets by location with Leadership
  • Provide support for client vendor payment system


What we look for in the perfect candidate:

  • Written and verbal proficiency in English and Spanish a plus
  • 4 year college degree in Business/Accounting and/or 7 years of experience
  • as a multi-unit controller
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
  • Strong partnership skills
  • Ability to influence in a matrixed organization
  • Able to dynamically and creatively problem solve
  • Adept at managing multiple client and internal requests and deadlines
  • Able to shift priorities for self and team on short notice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Google Docs products including Sheets, Docs, Slides and GMail
