Job Title: Financial Analyst – Ticket Operations
Department: Hybrid
Reports to: VP – Ticket Sales and Operations & VP - Finance and Accounting
Manages: N/A

Location: El Segundo (offices M-F), and other occasional off-site events, as needed
Travel: Less than 5% of the time
Hours: Regular office hours (9am- 5:30pm M-F), plus overtime is mandatory; must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
The pay range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications

Departmental Goals
- To provide the Lakers organization with the necessary financial information to make informed decisions, while meeting all reporting requirements.
- To improve the quality and timeliness of existing reports issued to department.

- Deadline timeliness
- Accuracy and reliability of information provided in related work product
- Level of detail used when completing responsibilities
- Advance utilization of technology as it pertains to ‘Essential Functions’ section outlined below
- Performing duties independently without heavy supervision while continuing to display initiative
- Use of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships and establish themselves as a positive team contributor
- The Following duties are to be performed for both the Los Angeles Lakers and South Bay Lakers:
- Record ticket revenue derived from ticket sales through Ticketmaster software and reconcile revenue to various accepted payment methods (i.e., credit card, electronic transfers, and cash).
- Management and administration the financial accuracy of Season Ticket Member accounts by:
- Assigning general ledger accounts to season seat customer adjustments and input into Archtics ticketing software
- Verifying that TM Ticket Exchange sales post properly to Season Ticket Member customer accounts,
- Posting tickets sales cash and refund transactions into TM Archtics, and
- Tracking submitted refund request through the Finance & Accounting department and confirming timely disbursements.
- Complete recording of monthly journal reports from Archtics and inputting journal entries into the organization’s financial system
- Reconcile journals to customer trial balances
- Verify Ticketmaster settlements for single game sales, box office sales, TM Ticket Exchange, and service charges; and, reconcile Lakers share of commission revenue due from all underlying sales activity
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to compile and produce annual ticketing revenue projections inclusive of quarterly tracking against actual and developing quarterly reforecast
- Prepare ticketing related reports and other ad-hoc data request for the National Basketball Association
- Monitor changes and trends in secondary ticketing markets and report findings via periodic analytical reports.
- Los Angeles Lakers specific duties:
- Assist in reviewing, settling, and reconciling sales reporting of all arena premium products, including Luxury Suites, Premier Seats, Mini Tables & Suites, Terrace Suites, and Tunnel Suites
- Prepare ticket schedules for corporate audit including certification of ticketing and parking proceeds per the Venue Agreement
- Reconcile parking settlements and prepare journal entries to record arena parking revenue monthly.
- Track and record parking activity from leased parking vendors.
- Assist in the development and analysis of the Ticket Sales and Operations department budget.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks, as needed and assigned.
- Responsibilities subject to change based on organizational needs and direction from management.
- Bachelor’s degree (required), preferably with a focus in a quantitative discipline (i.e., finance or accounting)
- CPA license (preferred)
- Two or more years of combined experience in ticketing, financial analysis, and/or accounting (including internship)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Previous experience in sports and entertainment industry, specifically in ticketing (preferred)
- Tech-savvy experience with a limited to working knowledge of ticketing, financial, and other cloud-based systems
- Previous knowledge of Oracle and Ticketmaster Archtics (preferred)
- Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, principal focus on Excel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Proactive willingness to assist where need and ‘go the extra mile’
- Initiative-taker and able to execute tasks with minimal supervision and guidance
