Role Summary
The Film Financial Analyst is a key role in supporting the Film and FP&A teams, as well as the management team and business leaders within the organization, Film Financial Analyst is a key role in the strategic partnership between Cinemark’s Film and FP&A teams, providing on-going and ad hoc analysis, reports, financial models, and analytical insights for the Film executives and the Film Finance Director.
A Day in the Life of a Financial Analyst - Film:
Responsibilities
Support of FP&A and Film executive and leadership team, with regular communication and collaboration across Film personnel to provide meaningful and actionable information and analysis relating to industry trends and issues. Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Active partnership with the Film division on data collection, database creation, analysis, film performance modeling, and support around film process improvements
Film analysis, reporting and modeling
Analysis and reporting of industry performance and trend topics such as box office performance, competitor and market performance, pricing, etc.
Tracking of competitive and other box office impacts, upcoming and historical
Design, maintenance, and validation of key data sources
Analysis and reporting of other theatre revenues and expenses influenced by Film
Film budgeting, forecasting and business planning
Ad hoc analysis and financial models
Identify trends, issues, and indicators of future performance
What You Will Need To Have
Bachelor’s Degree in finance or Accounting required
Working knowledge of MS Excel experience
Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving and research abilities
Detail oriented
Quality work product and accuracy required
Ability to learn quickly, multitask and meet report deadlines
Strong communication and persuasive skills, oral and written
Basic knowledge of financial concepts, procedures, and practices
Team player
Essbase, SQL, OLAP, or multi-dimensional database experience a plus
Experience in dashboarding, report design and visualization a plus
Power BI reporting design and build is a plus
