This role will support the FP&A Managers and provide support to operational business groups, as assigned, through information analyses (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.), preparation of operational data/analyses for publication to various constituents throughout company (Management, Sales, Product Management, Operations, etc.) who rely on/benefit from the information to make informed business decisions. Primary responsibilities will include monthly close activities and analysis, business modeling and forecasting.

As our Financial Analyst, you’ll support Questex’s success by:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities by reconciling actuals to forecast and researching variances
  • Assist in the preparation of revenue forecasts for multiple lines of business
  • Maintain financial models to analyze data and extrapolate historical trends into future looking forecasts; identify and communicate risks and opportunities
  • Create additional reports to support financial reporting, management requests and needs for analysis
  • Collaborate with internal partner groups to gather, analyze and report trends across key performance indicators
  • Support FP&A Managers and business unit managers with business planning by performing value-added analysis
  • Leverage financial management and planning software to help drive reporting & forecasting process improvement
  • Assemble, integrate, and synthesize data from multiple sources
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.

Your Experience And Education Include

  • 1-2 years FP&A/Accounting experience
  • At least one year experience in month end close and accrual work including analysis, preparation and booking of journal entries
  • Experience supporting a digital media and events organization, considered a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance, accounting or economics

Computer Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce, Intacct (or equivalent) and Business Intelligence tools, a plus.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60k-$65k. Salary offers are based on a broad scope of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, geographic and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package we offer the following:
