APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The Office of Student Aid is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist to provide exemplary customer service responses to Penn State students, their families, and the general public on financial aid and general enrollment inquiries. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all federal, state, and University student aid regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsible for troubleshooting issues of federal, state and University aid programs to include grants, scholarships, work-study, and federal and alternative loan programs and provide support for aid eligibility related processes.
Primary responsibilities include:
This position is based at the Penn State University Park campus.
Education and Experience:
Minimally requires an Associate’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$42,100.00 - $61,000.00

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.

- Provide personal and financial application counseling to students and parents
- Assist in the administration of the financial aid programs
- Make recommendations to award funds to students eligible for scholarships, grants, and college work-study
- Dissemination of information for student financial assistance through face-to-face, email, and phone counseling
This position is based at the Penn State University Park campus.
