Job Description

Partnering with business leaders, the Financial Advisor Training Specialist candidate will support our Operations Team to identify learning needs across the Mariner Independent organization and create comprehensive and adaptable learning solutions, training material and documentation in support of Mariner's future growth goals. This position will report directly to the Director of Network Operations. The selected candidate will possess a strong business aptitude and a great ability to lead and collaborate with cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create a library of instructor-led, online, webinar, and blended-learning options to provide the best learning outcomes for different learning styles.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders throughout the firm, including partnering with leaders to design and deliver learning programs specific to business functions.
  • Develop and delivery process documents and training resources, with ongoing review to ensure continued accuracy.
  • Develop and promote effective communication strategies that lead to higher employee engagement and empower advisors to be successful within the Mariner Independent ecosystem.
  • Conducts training programs that include but are not limited to web-based seminars, manuals/documentation, group sessions, training videos, and more.
  • Responsible for driving continuous process improvement within training as Mariner Independent continuously evolves and grows.
  • Continuously evaluate and if applicable, implement appropriate tools to execute training deliverables.
  • Support the creation of programs that contribute to a positive culture and experience.
  • Measure all development program results and overall effectiveness; continually refine programs to ensure successful performance outcomes.
  • Develop and manage appropriate policies, processes, and procedures specific to the scope of training.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external team members.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of material as well as communication of training output.
  • Develop and maintain a change management process.
  • Assist with key strategic initiatives and projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Min of 7 years of experience in training and instructional design
  • 5+ years leadership development training experience.
  • Wealth management industry experience required.
  • Previous experience working as a financial advisor will be a plus.

  • Experience working with various learning management systems.
  • Experience with the development and delivery of business processes/functional training in relation to technology solutions (i.e.. CRMs - SalesForce, Portfolio Accounting Systems – Orion or, Data Aggregation – By All Accounts, and Reporting Systems, Imaging and Workflow Systems, Portals, Learning Management Systems) will be preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of talent across multiple US geographic markets. The base pay for this position across all US geographic markets ranges from $ 80,000/year to $110,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
