JOB SUMMARY:

The Finance Planning and Accounting Manager ensures compliance with IFRS, VW Accounting Handbook, and provides technical accounting guidance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and maintain project accounting systems for accurate cost accounting and reporting per US GAAP and internal policies
• Monitor accounting standard bodies and assess impact of proposed/adopted standards
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting for technical matters, quarterly updates, reports, and filings
• Support finance and treasury teams with accounting practices and cash flow tasks
• Oversee general accounting team for month and quarter-end close processes
• Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments for technical matters
• Provide U.S. GAAP expertise and implement new accounting pronouncements
• Participate in the audit process

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• CPA certification strongly preferred
• 4+ years in accounting and management
• Experience in private and public accounting a plus
• Strong accounting systems experience
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven leadership and ability to manage change in a growing environment
